Write to your MP about the future of general practice

The issue

The current GP contract is neither sufficiently funded nor safe for patients.

Set against a backdrop of growing patient numbers and increasing demands being placed on practices, it is deeply worrying that the Government is not addressing the concerns raised by GPs and is instead leaving us with no choice but to take collective action.

What you can do

Alongside the collective action we are asking practices to take, we encourage you to contact your local MP to share your concerns about the current GP contract and the future of general practice.

You can use this tool to write to your MP, asking them to support local practices and hold the Government to account.

The letter asks MPs to raise our concerns directly with the Government, calling for action on safety, funding and data, and urging ministers to work with us to resolve these issues for the benefit of patients and the future of general practice.
