As we move closer to polling day, the BMA needs your help to make politicians take the issues affecting doctors, their patients and the Welsh NHS seriously during this election campaign period, and into the next Welsh Government and Senedd.
The priorities of doctors ahead of the Senedd 2026 election are set out in the latest BMA Cymru Wales manifesto, Health in our hands: Rescuing general practice from the brink, truly valuing and retaining our doctors, making patient safely non-negotiable, prioritising a prevention-led approach and creating clear pathways for doctors to train and stay in Wales.
In order to place these issues at the top of political party’s agendas, we are asking BMA members across Wales to write to your local political party candidates.
