Fix pay for consultants in England
Consultants across England voted overwhelmingly in support of industrial action in the recent consultative ballot. Additionally, despite weeks of talks with the Government to secure fair pay for consultants, their offer amounted to another real-terms pay cut. This has left the BMA with no choice but to formally ballot for industrial action, which opened on 15 May.
Our message is clear - consultants are not worth over 35% less than we were in 2008.
Consultant pay campaigners were at the forefront of the successful consultative ballot. As we move to the next phase of the fight to fix pay, we need as many consultants as possible joining our campaigning movement to lead the fight locally and organise on the ground.
Signing up takes less than a minute and you’ll receive updates, key actions and training resources. You'll be joining a network of thousands of consultants fighting to fix pay now, and for retirement.
Join us today. We look forward to campaigning with you!
